Capacity and fit

Match the batch and the shape of your bread

Start with how many slices you need in the busiest batch. Two-slice and four-slice capacity are different from the number and shape of the openings.

A long-slot layout may suit longer bread, but an “extra-wide” label alone does not establish an opening measurement or guarantee that a particular bakery slice will fit. Follow the model’s loading instructions.

Compare the capacity and layout examples below. Then read the exact model review for controls, bread-fit limits and the differences that matter to your morning.

Two slices, long slots, frozen and Bagel controls

With two slices per cycle, long slots, a dedicated frozen control and Bagel mode all required, CPT-525, CPT-1600 and KMT2203FP remain the three reviewed matches; Hamilton Beach 22989 is excluded because its exact linked guide documents no dedicated Frozen or Defrost setting.
